AutoFrame Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 7, 2026 · App: AutoFrame (Android) · Developer: Waldo Panozo · Contact: support@ezdevelopment.com
AutoFrame is a free, ad-supported app that records video with your phone's camera and moves compatible motorized stands over Bluetooth to keep you in frame. AutoFrame has no user accounts and no servers of its own: your videos never leave your phone.
1. What the app uses and why
| Data / permission | Purpose | Leaves your phone? |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Show the preview and record video. | No. Videos are saved to your gallery (Movies/AutoFrame). |
| Microphone | Record audio for your videos. | No. |
| Face detection | Work out which way to turn the stand. It runs on your phone (Google ML Kit) on low-resolution frames that are discarded immediately. Faces are never stored or identified. | No. ML Kit may send anonymous technical usage and performance metrics to Google. |
| Bluetooth (and location on Android 11 or older) | Find and control your stand. Older Android versions require the location permission to scan for Bluetooth devices; AutoFrame does not read or store your location. | No. |
| Advertising (Google AdMob) | Show ads that keep the app free. | Yes, to Google (see section 2). |
2. Ads (Google AdMob)
AutoFrame shows a small banner while you are not recording and, occasionally, a full-screen ad after a recording ends. Ads never appear when you start a recording or while you are recording.
To serve and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (which may indicate your approximate location), device and operating system information, and your interactions with ads. Google processes this data under its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, AutoFrame asks for your consent before data is used for personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the “Privacy” link next to the app title.
- Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
3. What we don't do
- We don't upload your videos, photos or audio to any server.
- We don't require sign-up, build profiles or sell your data.
- We don't store biometric data: face detection only computes a position on the screen.
4. Retention and deletion
Your videos are regular files in your gallery and you can delete them at any time. Uninstalling AutoFrame removes its settings. For advertising data, use the options in section 2 or your Google account settings.
5. Children
AutoFrame is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Questions or requests: support@ezdevelopment.com.
